Youth Basketball League


The CCMRD Youth Basketball League is a fun, recreational league stressing teamwork and sportsmanship while teaching the fundamentals of the game. League is open to boys and girls grades 3-6 and teams will be split by school and grade. Teams practice once a week (beginning the week of January 16) and will play once a week beginning on February 2, ending on March 23. Parent coaches and score keepers needed!

Youth Baseball League


Take me out to the ball game! It's baseball season! Clear Creek Recreation is excited to offer youth baseball for ages 4-13. Registration Deadline is 4/29. Evaluation Day is Saturday, April 29. All players please attend Evaluation Day so we can equally divide teams. Stay tuned for information about spring workouts. We will be holding spring drop-in practice sessions starting in March.
Ages: T-Ball (ages 4-6)
Coach Pitch (ages 7-8)
Minors (ages 9-10)
Majors (ages 11-13
Dates: Evaluation Day, Saturday, April 29, 10:00 am, Idaho Springs Ball Fields.
Teams will be finalized and announced by May 3. Practices start the week of May 8. T-ball and CP season will run through the end of June. Minors and Majors season will run until the end of July.

Tae Kwon do


This is a Korean Martial Art. You will be taught the tenets of Tae Kwon Do which include: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit. Tae Kwon Do emphasizes increased coordination, mental awareness, confidence, balance and overall fitness.

Skateboarding Club


Skateboarding Club Participants must be comfortable skateboarding on their own. Pointers and tips will be given, but this is not an instructional class. Participants must bring their own equipment (skateboard, pads, helmet) as well as sack lunch (on full day trips) and snacks. Helmet is required for participation. Minimum/Maximum numbers on all trips. Please sign up in advance.

Spring Friday After School Trips

Weekly Friday after school trips to skate parks around the area. Roller Blades and Scooters are welcome if park allows.

Clear Creek Running

Grades 3 - 6

Clear Creek Running is a running club for girls and boys grades 3-6. This exciting group is on the run to inspire the young people of our community to set goals, commit to a healthy lifestyle, and develop a belief in their own capabilities. Head Coach Anne-Marie Schmidt will meet and train with the team twice a week for six weeks. At the end of the session, all participants will run/skip/walk in the Canine on the Creek 5K at Charlie’s Place in Dumont. During practices there will be emphasis on goal-setting, team building, healthy choices, and community action. Sign-up is limited to 16, so register early and be ready to roll after spring break.

Babysitter Training


Ages 11 to 15

This American Red Cross course is designed for 11-15 year olds and helps prepare them for those first babysitting opportunities. Instruction includes parent and sitter responsibilities; how to perform routine care such ad feeding, bathing, and diapering; major elements of home and sitter safety; basic infant/child growth and development along with appropriate activities; fire hazards and escape; and how to provide minor injury treatment or handle an emergency.
